Today when I got into the shower, Gabby was sitting on the floor in the bathroom coloring. Mid-shower, it was pretty quiet and I asked Gabby what she was doing. "Coloring" (in the DUH! tone that only she can do) was her response. When I opened the shower curtain after my shower, Gabby was no longer in the bathroom. I could see an area on the floor that had been colored blue and called her in. When she came in, this is what she looked like (sorry for the crappy phone photo):
Apparently the appropriate question would have been WHAT are you coloring. :)
SO very thankful for washable markers!!
Note - we did actual face painting a couple of days ago with Syd & Addie, which must have sparked this.

We're Going to the Zoo Zoo Zoo
Today we went to Como Zoo with Michelle, Kaya and (baby) Adam. We had such a fun time playing at the park, looking at some of the animals and enjoyed a picnic lunch. The kids were very intrigued by the flamingos. The zoo keepers were cleaning the flamingo area and there was a male flamingo making quite a scene about it!
G3 Birthday Celebration
We had Gabby's birthday celebration last Saturday. The weather was less than desireable, but we made the most of it. My sister and fam came from Indiana to celebrate with us. Syd sure can get a party started...and keep it going!! As Patrick was setting up the bouncy house, Syd and Gabby were jumping up and down, squealing with excitement.
We had seven little girls (including Gabby), their respective parents, both grandparents, and great grandpa Dellis. I made crowns and black apple dolls for Gabby to give to her friends. We had a fabulous party (Gabs is still talking about the "jumpy house")! And a special thank you to Grandma & Grandpa Bostrom for hosting!

Chatting with a Three Year Old
Last weekend, Gabby went to Indiana with my parents, to visit the Sears family. She had a fabulous time! My parents came home with some great stories to share.
On the way home, Gabby was asking for Cheetohs. My mom said, "I'll think about it", to which Gabby responds, "Can you just say I don't care?". My mom chuckled.
After Gabby had her Cheetohs, my mom gave her a wet wipe to wash her hands. Gabby says, "I'm going to wash my toes too!" to which my mom responds, "I don't care", and Gabby quickly replies, "SEE! You can say it Gramma!".

Conversations with a Two Year Old
I told Gabby that she had to ride in the stroller for our walk (so that I could actually WALK!) and she replies, "NOOOOO. I need my exercise too!". Oiy!
