Conversations with a Two Year Old

"I will be in charge!" I hear this about three or four times a day. Me: "Gabby, I'm going to the bathroom quick." Gabby, in an athoratitive, matter of fact tone: "I will be in charge!" Me: "I am running upstairs to grab (insert any number of things here)." Gabby: "I will be in charge!" How else to respond but with: "Ok!" I'm not exactly sure what this means to her (yet) but it's obviously a very important task.

On Saturday morning Gabby was talking to Patrick about something (unfortunately, we cannot remember the subject) and during the course of their conversation he said to her, "I don't know." Without missing a beat, she quickly responded, "You think you don't know, but you dooo!"

Adorable (and Mischevious) Little Man

Beautiful Baby Girl

Siblings for Life

Gabby & Isaac play so well together and have so much fun. I often tell Gabby that she is a wonderful big sister. She is always including Isaac in what she's doing (although she's still learning that he cannot do EVERYTHING that she does) and watches over him like a little momma. And he just adores her. You can see it in how he looks at her. I love watching them play and interact. It is so special and makes me grateful that they have each other (for life!).

Conversations with a Two Year Old

On Sunday evening, we were leaving my parents house. Patrick had driven separately and taken Isaac and Elvis and pulled away just as Gabby and I were walking out of the house. As we walked across the driveway, Gabby looks up as Patrick drove off and said, "What? We walking home?". Haha! My car was just parked in the street on the other side of the parking lot.

Isaac Update

Isaac is crawling everywhere, including up the stairs (doing well at keeping up with big sister and with Elvis). He's pulling up on anything he can get his hands on including the dresser, toilet, bathtub (while in or out of it), chairs, couches, dog kennel, etc. He's also very into the dog food & water; more interested than Elvis, I think! :) And this guy can move FAST! He's also enjoying eating solids and lots of finger foods! We are having so much fun watching him discover and experience new things.

Isaac sprung (more) teeth!

The count is up to six and it looks like a couple more are on their way. This is a goofy picture, but gives you a good view of all those chompers.

Serious Business and Seriously Gorgeous Blue Eyes

First Set of Wheels

We put Isaac in the little tykes car and he grabbed the wheel with both hands like he's been doing it all his life! He loves to be able to keep up with big sister on her bike!

Practicing with Scissors

I bought Gabby a pair if kids scissors a while ago and she's been asking a lot recently to cut things. She's actually very good.I got a few photos of her in action. Unfortunately, that day ended with a little boo-boo (don't worry, everyone is ok!).

Cousins!

Syd & Addy were in Minnesota the entire week before Easter and we had a lot of fun with them! These little ladies have a great time together - love seeing them all interact.

Conversations with a Two Year Old

Tonight, Patrick said, "Gabby, come here. I have to tell you a secret!"
She goes over to him and he whispers in her ear, "I love you!"
Then Gabby says, "Daddy, come here. I have to tell you a secret!"
He leans in and she says, "I love Mommy!" :)
