Isaac sprung a tooth!

No more gummy smiles from our little man - Isaac has his first tooth (and accepted it with ease)! Photos to come when we can see it a bit better.

Say What?!

This picture cracks me up - same shocked expression from both of them. I wonder what I said?

Isaac is almost 6 months old!

The past six months have gone by in a blur. I cannot believe how quickly Isaac is growing. It's easy to forget how much kids change and develop in their first year. He is pushing himself up on all fours (still working on what comes next), is rolling, inching via kicking, working his way around by any means possible right now. This kid definitely won't be staying in one spot for long, once he's figured out how to crawl! He's working on sitting (although who cares about sitting when you're working on moving!) He's starting on solids and is slowly beginning to enjoy them. We are keeping an eye out for that first tooth!
He loves books and swimming and is still the happiest little guy. He's always got a sweet smile to share. And he's always got one (gorgeous blue) eye on what his big sister is doing.

6 month stats: 15.7lbs and 28 inches

Jumping Beans

Just had to get a close up of those scrumptious little legs!

Piano

Patrick played some Christmas music on the piano at Gma and Gpa Dellis' house on Christmas Day. He's still able to play so well! Gabby was very interested and had to give it a try. We've since brought out Patrick's portable keyboard at home for her to practice on (and Daddy to teach with!).

Movie Time

It's funny, I'm pretty sure that Isaac has more attention span for TV than Gabby does. But, she always gets excited to watch a movie (albeit short lived!). Gma and Gpa Bostrom let Gabby borrow a couples of movies. She pulled out her new sleeping bag and even let Isaac snuggle in (she's such a good big sister!).

Conversations with a Two Year Old

Me: "Isaac is ready for his bath."
Gabby: "But Mommy, he forgot to take his clothes off!"

Patrick works most Friday nights at Old Chicago, so I'm usually solo with the kids. One Friday night, Gabby asked for a popsicle. I told her she could have one if she ate her dinner. During the course of our dinner conversation, we discussed how, in the summer, Daddy would let her eat popsicles in the bath. So, that was our plan this evening! She finished her dinner and says to me:

"Ok, my will go upstairs and start the bath; you get my popsicle (sounds like pock-kick-kickle)." After a brief pause she give me a concerned look, tilts her head and says, "can I leave Isaac (sounds like i-kick) down here with you?"  :)

Love you Cousins!

The Sears Family visited from Indiana for ten days, from Christmas through New Years. As always, we had a great time.

Syd has a special place in her heart for cousin Isaac. So sweet!

Christmas 2011

So, I didn't photograph Christmas, but rather savored the moments that were upon us. We hope that everyone had a beautiful Christmas and lovely New Year!
